All of a sudden, we’ve landed in August. How did that happen?? I hope you are enjoying your summer break. I did, but do you remember that feeling back in school or college when you had to finish a paper or thesis? Yeah. So in between swimming, playing board games and having lunch with wine (as one does in France), I tried to keep moving forward with GYMSICAL.
At this moment, my designer Vicky Bogaert is working (and hopefully playing) hard to make a book you want to keep flipping through. In this post I’m sharing a sneak preview of some design snippets. I’m very much looking forward to seeing, feeling and smelling the final book, but that will take a little while. In the meantime, I’m spreading the word about The GYMSICAL Guide to a Creative Life so that all of the booksellers know that it’s coming up and can offer it as a pre-order. Writing is ALL about letting people know your book is (almost) out there, so I was honored to be invited on the Common Creative podcast! (Click on the link to listen.)
Well ok, writing is also ALL about writing, but some people may underestimate what it takes to also sell your book successfully. I’ve been crossing off my to do’s like an idiot, but if I truly want to walk my own talk, I also need to PAUSE from time to time. Because sometimes it just seems easier to stay put behind that computer and try to force things out, whereas it’s both healthier and more productive to go for a walk or make something.
